Mars Vigila
_____Martians don’t masturbate. No
_____pinch or stroke. No intoxicants
of booze spiked. No Viagra.
_____No eye-popping size. No static
_____crackle from shirt removed. No
_____cry to drift through open window.
_____No electric glow of clock light
_____to illuminate small green hands
at work. Martians are not bound
by purity law. No mandatory
_____ingestion of mild food. No bodies
_____pinned by belts and straps to stop
_____slow touch. No. Martians don’t
_____release, let go. They yearn
_____for only one: Mars, their god of war.
